La Chaise Bleue
Laurence and Bruno Poncelet have been revolutionising the world of Nice souvenirs for more than 15 years, guided by this credo: “Give the gift of souvenirs that you’d rather keep for yourself”.
A Parisian until the age of 20, Laurence feels first and foremost a Niçoise, having spent all her childhood holidays on the Riviera. This has left her with a deep and sincere attachment to the heritage of Nice, which she shares with her husband, and which together they are keen to bring to life through the carefully selected products they sell in their boutique “La Chaise bleue”.

Quality at a low price
For this couple, in love with Nice and entrepreneurs at heart, it was obvious that they wanted to breathe new life into souvenirs. And they did so in 2008, when they bought their first souvenir shop: “Tabac de l’OpĂ©ra”. They wanted to give souvenirs the lustre they deserved by offering a wide range of beautiful, high-quality products at affordable prices, in a setting worthy of their vocation. In this way, they will continue to give the place a soul.
French charm
Azure blue, incomparable light and blue chairs
In 2011, they acquired the majanin “Bises de Provence”, now called “La chaise bleue” and formerly a shop that made me dream and was called “Abricot”. A name that owes nothing to chance. Laurence chose it to bring back to Nice and its region the emblems that characterise it: seaside decor, azure blue, unrivalled light and… its blue chairs, now legendary. In 2014, ‘Nice Pocket’ was acquired by the couple, followed by ‘Nice Spirit’ and ‘la chaise Bleue HalĂ©vy’ in 2018, ‘Tabac du Palais’ in 2016, and the Nice Cream ice cream parlour in 2021.
With eight shops in Nice and 46 employees, Laurence and Bruno work hard every day to bring the heritage of Nice and the CĂŽte d’Azur to life around the world, with souvenirs to suit everyone’s tastes.

La Chaise bleue Halévy
Then in 2017, the La Chaise Bleue shop was opened. The brand is very much associated with the marine world, and the shop offers a wide range of decorative products and household linen.
